Sales Growth Index (SGI)
Simply this yearu2019s sales divided by last yearu2019s. Fast growth is not wrongdoing — it is included because companies under pressure to keep up a high growth rate have more temptation to flatter the numbers.
Example
1.15 means sales grew 15%. A figure above 2.0 usually means an acquisition rather than organic growth, so read it alongside the rest.
Worth knowing
Context, not a red flag on its own.
