Equity Capital
The face value of all shares issued, NOT the money the company is worth. It only moves when new shares are created — a bonus, a split, or a fresh issue.
Example
A company with 10 cr shares of ₹10 face value shows ₹100 cr equity capital, however the share price moves.
Worth knowing
A jump here means new shares exist, so per-share figures before and after are not directly comparable.
