Auditor change
The outside firm that checks the accounts has resigned or been replaced. Auditors rarely walk away from a paying client, so when one leaves mid-term it is worth asking why.
Example
An auditor resigns citing "unavailability of information". That is often the first public sign that the books are disputed.
Worth knowing
A change at the end of a normal term is routine. Mid-term is not.
