Price-to-Earnings (P/E)
The share price divided by yearly profit per share — roughly how many years of profit you pay for one share. A higher P/E means the market expects faster growth (and is pricier).
Example
A P/E of 20 means you pay ₹20 for every ₹1 of yearly profit.
